Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a family of highly conserved family of endoproteolytic enzymes that are dependent on zinc and calcium ions and can degrade multiple extracellular matrix components and their activity is regulated by inhibitors of metalloproteinase tissue (TIMP), tumor necrosis (TNF) -αand other factors, the main function of MMPs is to degrade the extracellular matrix and participate in many physiological and pathological processes of the human body. The substrates of MMPs play a key role in the invasion and metastasis of tumors . Combined with domestic and foreign research on MMPs to further clarify the structure and function of matrix metalloproteinase and the role in the development and metastasis of skin squamous cell carcinoma.
