The leading group meeting on endemic disease prevention and control of the CPC Central Committee was held in Shenyang from November 14 to January 18, 1981. The meeting was attended by 25 ministries and commissions of the provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, the government and 15 ministries and commissions of the State Council as well as the leading comrades of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army; the health department of the 16 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in the north China, the Department of Water Resources and Some of the leaders of light industry hall, food hall and relevant departments, representatives of advanced units for prevention and treatment of endemic diseases, and the chairman and deputy chairman of the northern endemic disease scientific committee, totaling more than 200 people.
