尾矿长期堆存在尾矿库中随时会引发灾难,用铁尾矿砂作为副产人工砂代替天然砂配制混凝土,既开辟新的砂源,又利用了固体废弃物,有助于彻底解决尾矿堆存问题。从铁尾矿选建筑用砂的工艺中对75μm以下颗粒的过分限制,既降低了尾矿的利用率,又严重破坏了砂的微细级配。在中低强度混凝土体系中以铁尾矿粉作补充粉料,调整混凝土体系中水与全部粉料的比例(水粉比),达到最佳水粉比时,微细级配得到完善,可获得良好的工作性。铁尾矿粉的微级配效应使混凝土更加密实,细颗粒中的火山灰质组分也具有一定活性,对混凝土强度有贡献作用。
