Severing the Submarine Cables · Creating a Submarine Canyon On November 18, 1929, a strong earthquake struck the Big Beach south of Newfoundland in North America, Canada. Twelve submarine cables were cut off at 28 and telecommunications were suspended . People put the culprit in this incident attributed to the earthquake. Curiously, this cable breakage is different from the instantaneous destruction of normal earthquakes but proceeds regularly from north to south to the deep sea, lasting for about 13 hours. How is this law formed? Is this effect of earthquakes? Coincidentally. On August 30, 1935, a collapse occurred at the mouth of the Gedarena River in Colombia, South America, moving the breakwater 480 meters to the open sea and cutting a 10-meter-deep channel across the sand bank. On the same night, a submarine cable break occurred at a depth of 1,400 meters at an altitude of 24 kilometers outside the mouth of the river. Although this accident is not an earthquake site
