眼子菜为眼子菜科、眼子菜属的一种多年生草本植物,是我省稻田中较为普遍的恶性杂草,特别是在劳力少、耕作水平低的地区为害更为严重。据试验,当9米~2稻田中眼子菜叶片达1000片时,减产即达20％。 眼子菜适宜生长在浅水、静水中。田边沟渠、积水洼地和灌水条件较好的稻田分布较多。丘陵山区则集中分布在河谷地带及冲田内。岗塝田及新改稻田,依靠电灌,经常脱水,分布较少。
