Second, the simple controller The most simple micro-controller designed by the PROM (from now on it is assumed that this ROM or PROM) and registers constitute, as shown in Figure 2-1. The load enable terminal of the register is connected to the clock signal. The register outputs an address to the PROM memory. It uses this address to take a microinstruction to be executed, which does not include nor need the next address logic. After a delay, memory transfers control signals to other parts of the system and loads the next address into the register, which is equal to the time it takes for the register output to stabilize plus the memory read
