明代苏州地区的士大夫群体以其特别鲜明的本土文化情结,形成了比较活跃的造物设计批评氛围,起到了为设计实践提供理论引导的作用。明代苏州地区设计理论具有开创性和导向性两个整体的特征,尤其注重设计著作的理论创新与文人意识的彰显,不仅影响了时人的设计观,而且促进了民间与宫廷设计活动的互动,在一定程度上推动了造物设计的发展。
In the Ming Dynasty, the group of scholar-officials in Suzhou area, with its distinctive local cultural complex, formed a relatively active atmosphere of criticism in the design of creation and played the role of providing theoretical guidance for design practice.
