我的作品原料香樟木是在位于北京东坝的名贵木材市场买的,那里是木材的集散地。原木被摞在一起,堆得很高,当我穿行其中,感觉就像走在巨大的树的停尸房里,冷冰冰的。我把挑好的木材拉回工作室,打好主意,开荒破料,一点点雕凿,反复研磨着色,感觉它好像慢慢苏醒,冰凉的身体开始升温,皮肤有了光泽,血脉经络也逐渐变得清晰,好像活过来了,只是变了个模样。
The raw material of camphorwood for my work is bought at the valuable timber market in Dongba, Beijing, where timber is distributed. The logs were stacked and stacked high, and as I walked through it, it felt like walking in a huge tree morgue, freezing. I picked the good wood back to the studio and put my mind in good spirits. I broke a wasteland, sculpted a little bit and repeatedly sharpened it. It felt like it was slowly awakening. The cold body began to heat up. The skin was shiny. It becomes clear that it seems to be alive, but it has just changed its appearance.
