Tao Zongyi, a writer from the late Yuan Dynasty and the early Ming Dynasty, worked as an official in his later years while doing farm work. He also did not forget to write while resting under the tree. What he remembered, what he saw, what he heard, he immediately took the leaves around him and wrote it down. He went home and stored it in crockery. In more than ten years, he had accumulated dozens of cans. Later, he opened the cans. He took out the leaves he had accumulated, and rearranged them in pieces. The total number was recorded in thirty volumes. This is what he called the “Plough Record.” It can be said that if there is no daily accumulation, there will be no such copy. Without accumulation, the foundation of language learning is not solid; without the accumulation, the building of language learning will be difficult to stabilize.
