这个研究班是由天津市委组织部委托天津市科学技术进修学院为天津市培养现代管理科学人才而开办的,于1982年11月8日结业。全班26人,是由市经委、建委、科委、农委、市国防工业办公室及物资总局六个系统择优选送来的中年工程师。他们大多数是六十年代前的理工科大学生,其中有的是工业局的正、副处长,有的是工厂、企业部门的科长、经理、副总工程师,有的是科研所的正、副处长,还有一部分是科研骨干。他们有多年从事工业企业管理和科技管理工作的经验。
