在漫长的艺术长河中,提到超现实主义绘画艺术,先想到的就是本世纪最杰出的心理学家弗洛伊德先生。他的经典著作梦的解析,此书对人类梦做出了科学分析。从此人类把梦认为是生活中重要的一部分,我们之所以做梦是自我的意识形态在夜间睡眠中潜意识的自由活动,在梦里我们能够直接进入无意识或潜意识之中,也就是大家常说的日有所思,夜有所梦。受弗洛伊德理论的影响,在1922年后,从达达艺术内部分支出现的一种新兴艺术思潮,就是超现实主义绘画艺术的诞生,此类的绘画艺术家也同样研究客观对象呈现在虚幻的梦里。
