幼儿科学教育是指幼儿在教师的指导下,通过自身的活动对周围物质世界进行感知、观察、操作、发现问题、寻求答案的探索过程,并在这一过程中获取广泛的科学经验,学习科学方法,发展智力和好奇心,感受自己的能力和成功,得到愉悦的情绪体验,产生学科学的兴趣和对大自然的关注和热爱。而科学素质包含科学知识、科学方法和对科学的情感和态度三个方面。在进行科学教育时,如遗忘或偏重于某一方面,将会偏离科学素质早期培养的基本出发点。
