The thirteenth “Statistical Report on Internet Development in China” released by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) shows that by the end of 2003, the number of Internet users in China has reached 79.50 million, ranking the second in the world. Compared with the data released in July 2003, the number of Internet users in China increased by 11.5 million in the first half of the year, an increase of 16.9%.
