本试验目的是生产无核枇杷。研究用的三倍体株系,是由二倍体枇杷和一株由秋水仙精引变而来的四倍体枇杷杂交后,所形成的人工三倍体枇杷中选出来的。使用的品种是日本枇杷的一个主栽品种“田中”枇杷。三倍体田中枇杷生长强健,没有表现出明显的形态上的变异,但是每年只结少量的果实。在最适宜的时期(例如在花穗上三分之一的花朵开放,或在无核幼果开始膨大时),给它进行全树喷洒100PPM的赤霉素水溶液,从而,成功地生产出无核枇杷——即从种子形成能力很弱的三倍体田中枇杷的花穗上生产出大量其大小规格符合市场销售要求的无核果实。
The purpose of this test is to produce seedless loquat. The triploid strains studied were selected from the artificial triploid loquat formed after the diploid loquat and a tetraploid loquat transformed from Colchicine.
