The national military aviation industry review group affiliated with China National Aviation Industry Corporation held the tenth National Science and Technology Progress Award and the thirteenth National Invention Award evaluation meeting in Xiaotangshan District in Beijing in late April 1996. This review meeting was the first after the change of office, with 75% of the new judges. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Yanzhong, the new head of the industry team. In 1996, the military aviation industry group accepted 24 scientific and technological progress award projects, including 20 projects of the Aviation Industry Corporation and national defense science and technology.
