At present, there is an international trend in finding new drugs from traditional medicines such as Chinese herbs. Traditional medicines are mainly Chinese herbal medicines. Their sales in the international market have exceeded US$15 billion. They increase at an average rate of around 10% each year. Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan occupy about 95% of the market.
