肺炎衣原体是新近认识的第三种衣原体,是一种很难用细胞培养分离的微生物。作者比较了3株肺炎衣原体在5种细胞系中的生长情况。当将10倍稀释的肺炎衣原体接种到各细胞系时,在HEp-2细胞中检出最高,其余依次为HL、HeLa229、McCoy和HTED。用HEp-2细胞检出的肺炎衣原体平均效价比其他细胞系高1~2log单位。DEAE葡聚糖预处理不增加包涵体数。除McCoy和HTED外,所有细胞系中包涵体的粒径减小。用HEp-2细胞重培养以前用HeLa229
Chlamydia pneumoniae is a newly recognized third chlamydia, a microorganism that is difficult to isolate with cell culture. The authors compared the growth of three strains of Chlamydia pneumoniae in five cell lines. When 10-fold diluted C. pneumoniae was inoculated into each cell line, the highest was detected in HEp-2 cells, followed by HL, HeLa229, McCoy, and HTED. The average titer of Chlamydia pneumoniae detected with HEp-2 cells was 1 to 2 log units higher than that of other cell lines. DEAE dextran pretreatment does not increase the number of inclusion bodies. In addition to McCoy and HTED, the particle size of inclusion bodies decreased in all cell lines. HeLa229 was previously re-cultured in HEp-2 cells
