Last June, as a member of the sales promotion group abroad, I was fortunate to have come to a mysterious country, Israel. In more than half a month, we visited the local Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export, visited related customers, conducted in-depth field visits, and had a preliminary understanding of the Israeli market. We have found that with the acceleration of the peace process in the Middle East, Israel will become a huge potential re-export market, and its importance will gradually be brought into play. The following describes some situations in the Israeli market and the author’s suggestions on developing the Israeli market. I. Overview of Israel Israel is located on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea, with Lebanon in the north, Jordan in the east and Egypt in the south, with a population of about 55 million and an area of 27,000 square kilometers.
