不知从何时起,开会要设主席台,因而,有了台上台下之分。台上者,一般都是台下的领导,在台上号令台下。因此,在一般人眼里,台上的总是高于台下的。可在“三讲”中,笔者却听到一位常坐在台上的领导者,在回顾自身成长的历程时,道出了这样的感受:“我在台上时,总爱看看台下,并从这种常看台下中找到力量。”与之交谈,发现“常看台下”蕴藏着做人的道理。我概括为“四气”。一是自知之明的勇气——一位新领导,一般总是党和人民按着干部四化条件推举到台上来的。当他们坐在台上之后,赞美的声音、夸奖的话语也会多起来。如果这些同志,位居合上,就以为高人一等,陷入“傲视台下”的误区,那就会束缚自己的思想,止步不前。职务提升了,不等于本事就随之大起来。他们到台上来担任新的职务,不仅仅是一种享受台上就坐的光荣,更是人民赋予他一种新的责任,作为个人要不辜负党和人民
