This article is based on a paper by S.G. Gibbs at the 1984 SPE Annual Meeting. After applying for a patent on the wave equation of the bottom hole analysis of a sucker in 1967, he founded NABLA to study and produce methods and equipment for sucker-rod well diagnostic analysis from various angles. This is the latest result of his research. Starting from the load of the device, it detects the relationship between the motor speed and the motor speed and the motor torque to get an accurate dynamic kinematics diagram. Continuous monitoring can deduce fault states such as oil sucker rod breakage, pump damage, oil pipe leakage and the like.
