As early as 1900, photosensitive substances have been applied in biology. Some people tried to treat cancer in 1903. Hematoporphyrins were found in animal and human malignant tumors for the first time in 1924. After being irradiated with light, specific fluorescence occurred. In 1960 Lipson developed a hematoporphyrin derivative (Hpd). And for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, the technology is improved.
