Cobalt 60r irradiation device is one of the main tools for radiation processing technology and radiation application research work. The Irradiation Laboratory of Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences uses reinforced concrete construction as a comprehensive irradiation device for shielding and protection. There is an irradiation storage well in the laboratory, and the total cobalt 60r radiation source is 1.85×1016 Bq (500,000 Curie). To ensure the safety of personnel and the surrounding environment, it is built on reinforced concrete.
