CI体系设计教胄自I990年以后纳入装潢设计教学,在我院已有三个多年头了 它不但拓宽了我院装模设计教学的领域,丰富了装潢设计教学的内容,同时对学生与教师的传统设计思维与观念也是一个革新。从社会经济发展需要的角度看,CI体系设计尽管源于企业设计,但从建筑设计、装潢设计、装饰艺术设计、纤维艺术设计等诸方面来观察,一个多角度、多层次、多方位、多媒介、多手段的思维方式与“体系”观念的树立是非常必要的、而CI体系设计教育在设计教学中的实施正好适应了这种需要。那么通过这几年的教育教学实践,我们明白了些什么呢?它的实际内容与社会功能到底是什么呢?
