在国内的一些民俗研究中,对仡佬族的文化有一定的说明和介绍。比如说《务川仡佬族苗族自治县府志》中,对务川仡佬族苗族自治县的历史、人文、等方面进行了说明与介绍。还有在一些学术论文中也对仡佬族的一些文化进行了阐述。但我个人认为这些对一个有着悠久而丰富的文化传统的民族来说是远远不够的。务川人玩的东西很多,它体现在人们生活的方方面面,棋就是一种务川人们智慧的结晶。务川的棋和其它棋不一样,它的名字为五步棋。它的存在使仡佬民族在劳动之余性情得到愉悦,智力得到开发。但随着时代的发展变化这些东西越来越边缘化。对此我将介绍仡佬棋文化的基本形式及特征。棋作为仡佬人民的精神文化产物,它承载了仡佬民族的思维方式。通过对棋文化进行研究和发掘,揭示仡佬民族独特的思维方式,棋这样一种精神产物对仡佬民族智力的塑造以及对仡佬民族思维能力的培养。 In some domestic folk studies, there is a certain description and introduction of the culture of Mulam.
