华盛顿专电 今年以来,预算之争成为美国国内政治斗争的焦点之一,民主党占据的白宫同共和党控制的国会就此进行了一场罕有先例的激烈较量,斗争的最后结局最早要到明年11月初大选之后才可见分晓.近些年来特别是80年代初期以来,美国的财政赤字连年扩大,国债已达4.9万亿美元的惊人数额,并且已经成为影响经济发展的一个严重阻碍因素.在这种情况下,要求解决财政赤字问题的呼声日高.这是白宫同国会预算之争的总的经济背景和政治背景.
This year, the budget dispute has become one of the focuses of the domestic political struggle in the United States.
