2008年4月18日,中国人民大学、民盟北京市委联合举办了“民生·和谐·发展”论坛。全国人大常委会副委员长、民盟中央主席蒋树声出席论坛并发表重要讲话。中国人民大学党委书记程天权教授,民盟北京市主委、北京市政协副主席葛剑平教授等出席论坛。本次论坛的主题,突出体现了民生是社会和谐之本,发展的根本目的是要不断提高广大人民群众的物质、文化生活水平,让发展和改革成果最大限度地惠及全体人民。中国人民大学统战部部长周淑真教授主持论坛,几位著名专家作了主题发言(按发言顺序为序)。
On April 18, 2008, Renmin University of China and NLD Beijing Municipal Party Committee jointly held a forum on “livelihood, harmony and development”. Jiang Shusheng, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and chairman of the NLD, attended the forum and delivered an important speech. Professor Cheng Tianquan, party secretary of Renmin University of China, chairman of Beijing Democratic League, Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC Vice Chairman Professor Ge Jianping attended the forum. The theme of this forum highlights the fact that people’s livelihood is the basis of social harmony. The fundamental purpose of development is to continuously raise the material and cultural living standards of the vast majority of the people so that the fruits of development and reform can benefit the entire population to the maximum extent. Professor Zhou Shuzhen, director of the United Front Work Department of Renmin University of China, presided over the forum and several well-known experts made keynote speeches (in order of speaking order).
