新矿物及矿物命名委员会第二次学术交流和工作会议于1984年9月3日至8日在山东泰安召开。出席会议的代表39人,其中有两个学会的10名委员。会上由郭宗山主任委员代表委员会做了工作总结。三年来,委员会评审了我国发现的35个新矿物、向 IMA 提交25个,其中被批准的23个,参加了 IMA 新矿物的评审与表决投票工作,对内作了大量的矿物咨询工作;对《矿物种译名》一书进行了修改辅充,制定了《矿物 The Second Academic Exchange and Work Conference for the Nomenclature Committee of New Minerals and Minerals was held in Taian, Shandong from September 3 to 8, 1984.
