The law of development of “ten years of a peak and five years of a valley” is doomed to be volatile in the shipping market. More and more time belongs to the slump and the recovery. As the market of cargoes occupies the dominant position in the market, leading to intensified competition among shipping companies. Therefore, it is an eternal issue for the shipping industry to adopt a flexible competitive strategy and strive for a stable source of supply at any time.
