2002年由中国儿童中心率先发起的中国小公民道德建设计划,得到了中宣部、全国妇联、教育部的大力支持。江泽民总书记在“六·一”儿童节期间为这项计划题词:“加强小公民道德建设,促进儿童的健康成长”,极大地鼓舞了我国儿童参与小公民道德实践活动的热情。中国小公民道德建设计划2002年在人民大会堂正式启动,两年多来全国开展了各种各样的小公民道德实践活动,使中国的小公民们不仅从思想上认识到了道德建设的重要性,更从行动上展现了“我做合格小公民”的全新风貌。
