In order to strengthen the flotation process, electromagnetic fields have been more widely used in recent years. The Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, studied the effect of different magnetic fields on the oleic acid harvesting performance and tested the direct flotation of certain non-sulphided minerals (niobite, garnet and quartz) in a magnetic field.
