Maybeshewill的首张正式专辑成为了今年后摇圈子当中不可多得的一个亮点之一,在65 Days of Static一张过分电气化的EP出炉并受到了强烈的非议之后,同门的Maybeshewill则充分阐释了他们的音乐灵性,并在连贯性、悦耳性、精致度上大大超过了65 Days of Staric。2005年夏季成立于英国莱斯特市的这支纯器乐乐队早在2006年初就自行在他们自己的厂牌“Robot Needs Home”下发行了首张细碟《Japanese Spy Transcript》,并在稍晚的八月重新灌录后由日本厂牌XTAL发行,其时乐队的成员除在念大学时就相识的John Helps和Robin Southby(他俩是Maybeshewill成立以来最固定的两位成员,也是创作核心)以外,担任鼓手和贝司手的是Taya Byrne和Lawrie Malew。在这张EP当中乐队成员已经充分调动起了他们创作音乐时的独创性,不仅仅插入了大量的电影原声对白采样和钢琴流利的演奏段落,更主要的就是电子器乐
Maybeshewill’s first full-length album became one of the highlights of this year’s post-rocking circle.
