1939年9月生,广东潮州人,画家。原广州美术学院教授、硕士生导师。1996年2月受聘广东省文史研究馆馆员。有位北方的理论家来信说,他对南方的那份滋润和浓绿印象特深,可是遗憾,尚没有见到南方的画家将这种感受及特点活脱脱地表现出来。这话虽有一定概括性,但可以肯定,这位理论家未尝留意细细品味林丰俗的山水画,林丰俗正是将自己的感情和笔墨投注于这南粤的风物,一山一水,一丘一峦,溪流池塘,浓叶繁花,树前村后,猪狗牛羊,在这亲切祥和的氛围中创造出他独特的绘画风格,
