《大卫·科波菲尔》的作者狄更斯是十九世纪英国的著名作家。作者出于对当时阶级社会背景的愤恨,对于底层劳动人民的同情,使其绝大部分作品都包含着丰富的人道主义色彩。我们可以从他很多作品中感受到作者对于底层女性的尊重和怜爱。本文通过对《大卫·科波菲尔》中德女性角色进行分析,从中了解到不同女性形象的塑造方法,讨论作品中女性的特点以及命运的形成原因。
Dickens, author of David Copperfield, is a famous English writer in the 19th century. The author out of resentment against the social background of the class at that time, the sympathy for the working people at the bottom so that most of his works contain a rich humanitarian color. We can feel the author’s respect and affection for the bottom women from many of his works. By analyzing the roles of Chinese and German women in “David Copperfield”, this essay understands the ways of shaping different female images and discusses the characteristics of women in the works and the causes of their formation.
