Editor’s Note: The word “Dekyi” in Tibetan means “happiness” and it is often used as a name.The author Dekyi Tsomo was born in November 17th of 1947 in Lhasa.She later studied education in the Tibetan College for Nationalities in Xianyang City of Shaanxi Province in 1960.After graduating,she embarked on a long period of education in Tibet Autonomous Region(TAR).In the last period of her career,she undertook leadership in the government of TAR until she retired in 2011.Being filled with enthusiasm,during the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet,she wrote this article especially for this journal to describe the happiness of the Dekyi’s family over three generations.
