(一) 1995年9月,联合国世界妇女大会将在北京召开。借这次大会的东风,我国政府和各界群众,尤其是我国妇女界人士纷纷投入到筹备和妇女研究之中。妇女平等、妇幼保健、女性特征、妇女地位等一系列课题和成果呈现在人们眼前。鉴于我国女子竞技体育的显著成就,妇女与体育自然引起了人们的关注。然而,在我国浩如烟海的体育史、体育理论等资料中很难找到妇女体育运动的记录和描述。而国际上,女子体育的发展已成为妇女解放运动的前沿。妇女与体育已成为人们向传统角色观念挑战的重要阵地。妇女体育的研究已成为体育领域、女性领域跨文化研究的热点。为迅速改变妇女参加体育运动中
(I) In September 1995, the UN World Conference on Women will be held in Beijing. With the east wind of this meeting, our government and people from all walks of life, especially those in our country, have devoted themselves to preparations and to women’s studies.
