Houston State University M. Dr. Bast of the DAnderson Cancer Center discovered a new gene called NOEYZ. The loss of this gene is associated with more than 40% of breast and ovarian cancers. In vitro experiments showed that when the NOEYZ gene was introduced into cancer cells, the op% cancer cells stopped dividing and growing. Bas said that each person inherited 2 copies of NOEYZ.
