杜义德,1912年生,湖北黄陂人。1955年被授予中将军衔。1960年,北京的金秋季节。中央军委召开扩大会议。不久前刚从沈阳军区副政委任上调到海军的杜义德参加了这次会议。在会议即将结束时,毛泽东主席接见了与会各大单位领导。毛泽东在军委副主席兼国防部长林彪的陪同下,兴致勃勃地来到与会人员集合的会场。毛泽东边走边同大家一一握手。当他走到杜义德面前时,停下了脚步,上下打量着穿着海军将官服的杜义德,伸出手大声说:“杜义德同志,你好哇!现在在哪里工作?”
Du Yide, born in 1912, Hubei Huangpi people. In 1955 was awarded the rank of lieutenant. 1960, Beijing's autumn season. The Central Military Commission held an enlarged meeting. Not long ago, Du Yidede, who was newly transferred from the Shenyang Military Region to the Navy, took part in the meeting. Towards the end of the conference, Chairman Mao Zedong met with the leaders of major units attending the meeting. Accompanied by Lin Biao, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defense, Mao Tse-tung happily came to the venue for the gathering of participants. Mao Zedong shook hands with everyone while walking. As he walked over to Du Hight, he stopped and looked up and down at Du Yide, in his uniform of the navy, reaching out and loudly saying, “Comrade Du Yide, hello wow! Where are you working now?”
