橡胶密封用于防止空气向真空系统渗漏。高真空阀的固定连接密封要在-50到50℃温度下,长时间同时承受大气压空气和0.13毫巴余压真空或0.13毫巴到0.13巴余压真空的作用。在密封使用过程中,不拆卸法兰连接。表征这类密封工作能力的主要指标是压缩永久变形C(ΓОСТ9029-74)和压缩应力老系化数Kp(ΓОСТ 9982-76)。与有压力的密封不同,固定连接的真空密封的泄漏临界值C要从一般的80%降到6O~70%,而Kp值则要从0.1升高到0.2~0.4
Rubber seals prevent air from leaking into the vacuum system.
