十二年前,毛泽东出现在黄河大堤上,高大的身影伫立挥手,于是万众欢呼。这是影片《大河奔流》中的一幅画面。可不要小看这一画面。这是一个突破,是领袖形象第一次登上银幕。没有这一突破,不会有后来的《西安事变》、《四渡赤水》、《巍巍昆仑》、《开国大典》、《大决战》《毛泽东和他的儿子》等影片中的毛泽东。经验多了,胆子壮了,要求高了,从形似追求神似,从动作姿态、音容笑貌的模仿,逐步致力于性格的刻划和心理与情绪的展示,艰难的艺术创造的足迹历历在目。十二年来,就我的记忆所及,不同革命时期的毛泽东至少在银幕上出现了十四次,从《开天辟地》中的青年,到《毛泽东的故事》中的老年。
Twelve years ago, Mao Zedong appeared on the Yellow River embankment, tall standing waved his hand, so cheered. This is a picture of the movie “The River”. Do not underestimate this picture. This is a breakthrough that is the first appearance of the leader onto the screen. Without this breakthrough, there will not be any subsequent Mao Zedong in such films as “Xi’an Incident”, “Siduchishui”, “towering Kunlun”, “founding ceremony”, “grand decisive battle” and “Mao Zedong and his son.” More experienced, daring and demanding, from the pursuit of Godlike, from the gesture of action, voice and face imitation, and gradually devoted to the characterization and psychological and emotional display, the footsteps of the difficult artistic creation vividly. In the past 12 years, as far as I can remember, Mao Zedong in different revolutionary periods appeared on the screen at least fourteen times, from youth in “epoch-making” to “elderly in Mao Zedong’s story.”
