作为一名诺贝尔文学奖的获得者,赛珍珠在抗日战争时期用她的影响力为中国人民的抗战提供了巨大的物质与精神援助。在《爱国者》这部小说中赛珍珠不仅揭露了战争的残酷,也对战争对人性的扭曲和异化进行了深刻的反思。在纪念抗日战争胜利的日子里,我们不应忘记这位将中国称为“父国”的伟大女性。她为中国抗战所付出的努力值得我们称她为一位跨越国界的爱国者。
As a Nobel Prize winner, Pearl Buck used her influence during the Anti-Japanese War to provide enormous material and spiritual assistance to the Chinese people in their war of resistance. In The Patriot’s novel Pearl Buck not only exposed the cruelty of the war, but also conducted a profound rethinking of the war’s distortion and alienation of human nature. In commemoration of the victory of the war of resistance against Japan, we should not forget this great woman who called China “the fatherland.” Her efforts for China’s war of resistance have deserved us call her a patriot across borders.
