Addressing is an independent part of the language, and almost all language expressions are related to the address. On the one hand, the use of address forms can show the speaker’s respect for others; on the other hand, the use of address forms can also express the speaker’s rude attitude. In some cases, the use of address terms does not have any emotional color. According to Brown and Gilman’s power and equal relationship theory to analyze the father and father-in-law, husband and wife, wife and wife, these three groups can be explored in the use of address language in the profound society background. From this we can find that the use of different address forms in China and the West is rooted in cultural differences.
