Comrades know that the “Archives Law of the People’s Republic of China” has been reviewed and approved by the 22nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 6th National People’s Congress. This is a happy event we all have long been waiting for, as well as another result of the legal system construction in our country. This “Archives Law” clearly stipulates the status and role of archives in the state and in society. All these have provided reliable legal basis and guarantee for the protection, arrangement, development and utilization of archives and the development of archives.
