吴大观研究员,1916年11月生于江苏镇江,中共党员。1942年毕业于昆明西南联合大学航空系。1944～1947年赴美国莱康明发动机厂及普惠航空发动机公司学习。曾任沈阳606所副所长,沈阳410厂总工程师,西安430厂副厂长,第三届全国人大代表,第5、6、7届全国政协委员。现任中国航空工业总公司科技委常委,北航、南航、西工大兼职教授,中国工程热物理学会理事,中国航空学会动力学会委员。吴研究员50早代中期在组织成立沈阳中国第一个航空发动机设计室,领导研制第一型喷气教练机用喷发-1A发动机,参与领导研制涡扇-5、涡扇-6等发动机,参与涡扇-9发动机的总装、试车、赴英考核试验。著有多部专著。1990年,获第一批国家级有突出贡献的专家称号,1992年被评为航空航天部有突出贡献的专家等。
