With three billion people, or about 70% of the world’s population, developing countries today have only 22% of the energy available on the planet. If people do not address this grave disparity in time, the imbalance in energy distribution between north and south will become an imminent and grave problem. What exactly is the energy consumption in the third world and what will it be tomorrow, and especially how can people deal with the irresistible and growing energy needs that will emerge in the Third World? All these major problems have gone beyond The narrow scope of the pure economy, now and beyond its borders, has more and more disrupted our very unstable international balance.
