台湾《公论报》于1947年10月创刊,创办人李万居。李原籍台湾,留学法国,思想倾向于西方民主,为青年党创始人之一。台湾光复后,李出任台湾省行政长官公署宣传委员会常委、公署所办新生报社社长、省参议会副议长等职。李对当时的台湾现状有所不满,想据有舆论阵地,于是和其好友黎烈文、陈其昌、陈祺升商议创办《公论报》。该报不受参议会、青年党的干预,力争成为一张不偏不倚、无党无派的民间报纸。在台北日出对开一张半,另有南部版,日出一大张。
Taiwan’s “Gong La Newspaper” was founded in October 1947, founder Li Wanju. Li is a native of Taiwan and studied in France. His thinking tended to be Western democracy and was one of the founders of Al-Shabaab. After the recovery of Taiwan, Lee became the Standing Committee of Publicity Committee of Taiwan’s Chief Executive’s Office, the head of the new newspaper office run by the Office of Public Security and the deputy speaker of the Provincial Senate. Lee was dissatisfied with the status quo in Taiwan at that time and wanted to establish a “Bulletin” in consultation with his friends, such as Lehman Man, Chen Qichang and Chen Qi Sheng, according to a position of public opinion. The newspaper from the Senate, Al-Shabaab intervention, and strive to become an impartial, non-party non-governmental newspaper. Sunrise in Taipei one and a half, and another southern version, a large sunrise.
