自1978年改革开放以来,西北五省经济快速增长,以三次产业结构层次系数为测量指标度量了西北五省的产业结构高级化程度与经济增长的关系,同时使用Eviews软件测量了产业结构高级化速度与1978年的结构层次系数的关系,分析出西北五省改革开放以来产业结构高级化速度较快,但在1999年西部大开发战略以后产业结构高级化速度及程度比起全国水平发展较慢;提出应大力发展西北地区的第二产业、第三产业的物流业、旅游服务业等来促使其经济健康快速的发展。
