自行车钢圈内胎处的周长公差为±1mm,此为钢圈的主要技术要求之一(图1)。当该尺寸过小时橡胶胎易滑出,过大时又不易安装。目前生产中是采用手工测量,其方法是将焊接后的钢圈放在平板上,用钢箍抱紧钢圈测量外径φ650。由于测量在φ650处进行,而实际需保证L=1994.9±1mm(φ635)。因此产生了测量基准与设计基准不一致误差。用这种手工间接测量法误差大,劳动强度高,生产率低。为适应大量生产,我们设计了钢圈生产线,由带料送进、打商标印、切断、成形、焊接、测量、抛磨、冲孔、电镀等工序所构成。周长自动测量机就是安置在焊接以后,冲孔以前的工序中。钢圈周长尺寸主要取决于带料的切断工序。本机的设计特点是:
