The discovery of the CNB3 C825T polymorphism has been around for five years and varies across different races. Since protein C plays a “molecular switch” in signal transduction and mediates many intracellular effects related to vasoactivity and proliferation, the relationship between the polymorphism of this protein and cardiovascular diseases has drawn much attention. It has been determined that the site is significantly associated with white hypertension and obesity. There is a paucity of research data in the Asian population and there is currently no evidence of its association with hypertension or obesity. It is left ventricular hypertrophy, coronary heart disease is still controversial.
