Jack London was the first novelist in the United States to directly describe the workers’ movement and socialism. He was once called “the father of proletarian literature in the United States.” His masterpiece “Martin Eden” obviously has the autobiographical nature, which can be simply described as his personal struggles in the early years of strenuous struggle, self-study and fame. Due to the theme of the work, “Martin Eden” failed to describe the workers’ movement and socialism in a positive way (it only serves as a backdrop for the latter half of the novel, such as the Socialist Blaise Sunden, Norton, Hamilton, Claesian No. ...... and other images, the party that Martin was invited to participate in on the socialist debate
