枪钻是深孔加工专用刀具中最古老的一种,是外排屑深孔钻的代表,也是小直径深孔加工的唯一方法。近几年来枪钻已用于浅孔加工,并已成为一种发展趋势。传统枪钻具有结构简单,刃磨方便等优点。但传统枪钻存在不易分屑、排屑困难、对机床精度、冷却液质量和压力要求较高等缺点,稍有不当,在加工过程中发生憋屑,甚至将钻头扭断。为此,我院研制了新型双刃枪钻(国家发明专利),该钻头采用两条不对称的排屑槽结构,钻尖偏离中心,无横刃。因此,它既具有单刃枪钻导向好,切削稳定的优点,又具有双刃枪钻切削力较平衡,钻削扭矩小及切削液流量大的优点,且分屑方便、可靠,排屑空间大,排
